    I observed this exact scenario about one month ago right in front of my house on Carroll St. As she wrote a ticket (someone else’s car), I told the agent it was early (about 3 min.) and she denied it. I then drove away in my car and about 1 or 2 mins. later, the noon news came on.I later happened to see the woman who got the ticket and told her what had happened…..

    I once got to my car 3-4 minutes before it was time to move it and saw an officer writing a ticket. When I showed him that on my watch it was early, he said that on his watch it was early too, but he didn’t think I’d be there on time to move the car, so he saw no harm in writing the summons early.

    The upside of this was, that I wrote this exact story when I plead not guilty and it was accepted, thus waiving the ticket.

    i once got a ticket at a metered spot (1 min left) AS I WAS WALKING TO MY CAR, which was mamesh right across the street. when i got to the car there was still time left on the meter. i paid the ticket, because at the time i was too busy in life to refute it. i didn’t realize this was a common occurrence!

    My story DOES have a happy ending:
    My car was parked on Kingston Ave (& Carroll St.) and I had to move it at 8:30AM. At 8:27 when I approached my car to move it – the agent already gave me a ticket with the time as “8:31AM”. I didn’t loose my wits – I quickly open the car radio to CBS-880 and the newscaster said clearly: “8:28 – traffic & weather together”… I thus made the agent write a note that she was mistaken. I sent it in and I got off on the ticket…!!

    I want to thank Crown Heights.info for posting this video.Fox 5 did a great job showing the corruption of the NYC traffic enforcement agents.

    We have all witnessed this nonsense for years, and finally people are fighting back.

    When I lived in Crown heights there was an unwritten agreement with the police dept that we can double park on days where alternate side takes away half the parking spots in the neighborhood.And every once in a while a rogue traffic agent would come through and write everyone tickets for double parking!

    Without naming names, I want to a praise a certain “red devil” who is a personal hero of mine.In the old days, when he would notice a traffic agent giving unfair tickets he would run up behind them and grab their ticket book and run away and then burn it with his chametz ,thereby erasing all the tickets the agent wrote so far on that shift.

    Unfortunately with the new computer ticket devices it is a little harder to do that.

    A few weeks ago i was parked on the wrong side but i new i had to move the car by 11am it must of been 10.55 and my next door naiboure came banging on my door MOVE YOUR CAR NOW THEY ARE WAITING @ THE CORNER TO GIVE OUT TICKETS.IN MATTER OF FACT WHEN I CAME OUT THEY WERE ALREADY STARTING TO WRITE THEM OUT.
