8:00pm: Is It Possible that This Generation Won’t Bring Moshiach?

This week’s edition of MyLife: Chassidus Applied with Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Episode 126, will air tonight, Sunday, here on CrownHeights.info, beginning at 8:00pm. This week Rabbi Jacobson will address the topics: Is It Possible, G-d Forbid, That This Generation Won’t Bring Moshiach? Can a Dirah B’tachtonim Be Created at the Office? Why is Childbirth So Difficult? How Can One Move Past Fear of What Others Think? What is the Significance of Shabbas Chazon?

Why does G-d make the process of childbearing so difficult for women? Is there any other significance to the painful process aside for it being attributed to Chava’s sin?

Is it possible, G-d forbid, that this generation won’t be the one to bring Mashiach? Even though the Rebbe said we would, is it conceivable that we failed and another generation will succeed? After all, the Rebbe said that “it’s up to us.” So what happens if we don’t fulfill the mission given to us?

The fear of someone else’s impression of us, often times, handicaps us. Why do so many people worry about it? Is it a confidence issue? How can one get over worrying about what others may think of him/her?

These are among the relevant and provocative issues Rabbi Jacobson will address in this week’s 126th episode of MyLife: Chassidus Applied. Other topics that will be discussed include: the possible limits to making a dirah b’tachtonim, other projects that Rabbi Jacobson was involved in, and follow up to previously discussed concerns related to a secular education.

Rabbi Jacobson will also review the following essays submitted in this year’s MyLife: Chassidus Applied essay contest: “Annoyed? Good” byShayna Alevsky, “Chassidus Applied: Depression” by Natalie Ling, and “Making the Most of the High” by Chaim Avraham Shmuel Dickstein. These and other essays can be read online at meaningfullife.com/essays-2016.

And finally, the Chassidus question of the week: Chassidus cites the Maggid’s answer to the question “why was the world not created earlier?” because time itself is a creation, and therefore there was no “before” prior to creation. Can you please elaborate and explain the concept of time being a creation? Also: There are other answers given to this question. How do we reconciles them with the Maggid’s answer?

This hour-long dose of insights is meant to inform, inspire and empower us by applying the teachings of Chassidus to help us face practical and emotional challenges and difficulties in our personal lives and relationships. To have your question addressed, please submit it atmeaningfullife.com/mylife.

In what has now become a staple in so many people’s lives, MyLife: Chassidus Applied addresses questions that many people are afraid to ask and others are afraid to answer. When asked about the sensitive topics he has been addressing, Rabbi Simon Jacobson commented, “I understand that the stakes are high and great care has to be taken when speaking openly, but the silence and lack of clarity on matters plaguing the community can no longer go unaddressed. The stakes of not providing answers are even higher.”

The on-going series has provoked a significant reaction from the community, with thousands of people viewing each live broadcast and hundreds of questions pouring in week after week. At the root of every question and personal challenge tackled by the series is the overarching question: Does Judaism have the answers to my personal dilemmas?

In inimitable “Jacobson-fashion”, the broadcast answers people’s questions in simple, clear language while being heavily sourced. Each episode is jam-packed with eye-opening advice from the Rebbeim, gleaned from uncovering surprising gems in their letters, sichos and maamorim that address our personal issues with disarming relevance. Simultaneously, Rabbi Jacobson is able to crystallize a concept quickly, succinctly, and poignantly for any level of listener.

All episodes are immediately available for viewing in the MLC’s archive and can be downloaded as MP3s for listening on the go.

  • Moshiach is already here !

Many women are already sensing the changes that indicate the arrival of Moshiach. We are sensing that we are entering the higher dimension of timelessness – (time is a created entity-in a higher dimension, there is no concept of time). No longer can we place ourselves in any particular season – and we can no longer discern what time of the day it is unless we look at a watch. We are also no longer feeling fear when we hear of terrorist acts. Rather , we experience a sense of calm and stillness. Particularly, those who have been doing allot of “inner work” and are more self aware are the ones who are reporting the same findings – and sharing notes. So take heart, Moshiach is already here . Sooner or later everyone will begin to sense it too. Just continue doing the avoda of ishapcha – making the physical into spiritual by using all gashmius l’shem Shamayim and with restraint. Moshiach Now!

Bottom line: Yes, it can happen in another generation, but don’t think about it because your job Is to proceed.
