Chanukah Family Extravaganza Rocks Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL [CHI] — On Sunday, December 9th, the sixth night of chanuka, Chabad of Boca Raton hosted a Chanukah Family Extravaganza at the Jewish Federation Campus. 1600 men, women, and children participated in the event.
The day began with Rabbi Shmuly G. arranging over thirty amazing carnival rides available for all; bungee jumping, a giant ferris wheel, spinning strawberries, baby boats, flying swings, and much, much more. A special Bingo tent was set up for seniors. There was something for everyone.
Bobby the Ballon guy put on a spectacular show. He wowed the crowd by blowing up a six foot balloon and then proceeded to climb into it. The crowd cheered him on while he danced in the balloon, and finally emerged to the amazement of all. Each child left with a unique shaped balloon.
The refreshments were just as plentiful as the entertainment, from hot dogs to cotton candy and free latkes for everyone! The evening came to a rocking end with a live concert, followed by a giant Menorah Lighting.
A great yasher koach to the shluchim, Rabbi’s Moshe Denburg, Zalman Bukiet, Shmuly Gutnick and the bochrim yitzchok Yarmush, Mendy Hildeshaim and Mendy Yaffe for putting this amazing event together, and of course to the Jewish Federation for collaborating with Chabad on this event.
