Chanukah in the Snow in Florida
MIAMI, FL [CHI] — This past Sunday December 9, 2007 over 400 people gathered together to witness Chanukah in the snow at Chabad of Kendall/Pinecrest.
The crowd witnesses as 10 Tons of snow was made in front of their eyes, who would think that this would happened in Florida this was one of the miracles of Chanukah in Florida.
We saw as people were flying in the air on skateboarders and roller blades entertaining the crowd for 3 hours with different stunt tricks.
With all the booths based on the theme of Chanukah kids we able to make their own Menorah out of wood, their own dreidel, Chanukah cookies, Chanukah cards for the soldiers in Israel, Chanukah sand art and jump on a bounce house.
The Greenfield day school choir entertained the crowd with singing all the popular and favorite Chanukah songs it was so beautiful.
The crowd witnessed as a menorah was being carved and placed into the snow and lit commemorating the days of Chanukah.
Cold and Snowy Minnesota....
I want to move to sunny Florida….where they have to make the snow themselves in order to play in it!!!!
