KOSTROMA, Russia –- The Jewish community of Kostroma is currently holding an autumn camp for its youngsters, Led by Sara Feiman, this series of activities will keep the children busy throughout the entirety of their school holiday, which has just gotten underway.

The campers will be enthralled with an interesting program that involves such activities as visits to the movie theater, bowling alley, the Museum of Nature, and a historic walking tour of the city. Also in store for the kids is an extraordinary surprise – a virtual trip to Israel, involving real film footage of the Golan Heights and other regions of the country, which was shot by their own teachers.

As done throughout the school year, all children benefit from nutritious kosher meals, prepared and served at the Synagogue, which this year marks its 100-year anniversary. Apart from entertainment, the camp also offers the students the chance to start getting ready for Chanukah and to engage in other fun activities aimed at improving their knowledge of Jewish traditions.

The Jewish community of Kostroma, headed by Chief Rabbi of Kostroma Nison Ruppo, is a proud member of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia.
