What is the purpose of life?

The Creator has given every one of us a specific purpose that leads to the universal goal of making the world a perfect and godly place.

What must humankind do to get into heaven?

Judaism is based on the Torah, which gives us a set of do’s and don’ts and many commandments. I think every person follows some of them and will ultimately get to heaven.

What is your philosophy on heaven and hell?

Heaven is a place we all end up. I would consider hell a putrefaction process to undo or purify ourselves so we can reach our ultimate goal.

What is the role of Chabad in the community?

We are primarily an outreach program to the Jewish people. Whatever level of observance they are. We try to connect them with their roots and enhance their observance. We offer adult education classes, holiday programs and services for children.

And women’s role in Chabad?

Judaism is celebrated in more ways than in just the synagogue. Traditionally, in the synagogue, the males are more prominent. In the home, the woman’s role is more prominent.

What is your view on ecology issues?

Man’s mission is to make the world a better place. While we have a right to use the planet’s resources, we have a responsibility to make sure our actions are positive.
