Rabbi Sholom Raichik director of Chabad of upper Montgomery County gets ready to lift the new Torah

GAITHERSBURG, MD [CHI] — Last week Chabad Lubavitch of upper Montgomery County, under the directorship of Rabbi and Mrs. Sholom Raichik and Rabbi and Mrs. Chesky Tenenbaum celebrated the completion of a new Sefer Torah that was donated by Dr. William and Marilyn Stein.

The start of the writing of the Safer Torah took place in Israel at the Kotel.

Over 250 joined in on the celebration marching down the very busy Darnestown Road, which was followed by Hakafos and a Seudas Mitzvah.
