With a sold-out crowd of over 300 participants, the National Jewish Retreat concluded earlier this week with a feature presentation by the world renowned mind-reader and mentalist Guy Bavli. The final highlight was a crossfire panel of leading authorities on Jewish law debating real life cases brought before Batei Din in the U. S. with active participation from the crowd debating the merits of each side.

Moderated by Rabbi Moshe Bryski, the session featured a distinguished panel of Dayanim Rabbi Yossi Chazan from Manchester, UK, Dayan Berel Bell from Montreal’s Beis Din, and Rabbi Dr. Michael Broyde, Dayan on the Beis Din of America and law professor at Emory University in Atlanta.

Amid natures beauty, the 2nd Annual Retreat, held at the luxurious Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, featured over 80 classes, workshops, lectures, seminars, and discussion groups. Led by 25 prominent Rabbis and Rebbetzins, professors and musicians, historians and researchers, the Retreat included a lively concert, feature films, hikes on the majestic Colorado Rockies, hands-on demonstrations on Safrus and Jewish cuisine, and a Gan Yisrael day camp led by a group of superb staff.

Special thanks to the retreat coordinator Rabbi Mendy Weg, the Retreat Chairman Rabbi Hesh Epstein and to the entire staff at JLI Central.
