Lubavitch Purchases New Plot of Land

Ambler, PA — Lubavitch of Montgomery County under the directorship of Rabbi Shaya and his wife Devorah Leah Deitsch has purchased a two-acre piece of vacant property in Fort Washington, where it plans to build a Chabad House that will house a Shul, Pre-School, Hebrew School, library and office space.

Rabbi Deitsch told CrownHeights.info that the estimated cost of constructing a new two story building — which will also include a kosher kitchen, library and social hall — is $3 million. Fundraising efforts are just getting under way.

Lubavitch of Montgomery County has operated for 10 years now, but programs have taken place all over. The new plan will allow amenities to function under one roof for the first time.
