Tomsk, Russia — This week, Israel hosts a visit by a delegation from the Tomsk Region in Russia's western Siberian district. Among the members of this group is Rabbi Lev Kaminetsky, the Chief Rabbi of Tomsk Region and a Chabad emissary.

Headed by the Governor of the Tomsk Region, Victor Kress, the sizeable delegation was met by one of most important and renowned Israeli businessman, FJC President Lev Leviev. They also met with Israel's Minister of Strategic Planning, Avigdor Liebermann.

Tomsk, Russia — This week, Israel hosts a visit by a delegation from the Tomsk Region in Russia’s western Siberian district. Among the members of this group is Rabbi Lev Kaminetsky, the Chief Rabbi of Tomsk Region and a Chabad emissary.

Headed by the Governor of the Tomsk Region, Victor Kress, the sizeable delegation was met by one of most important and renowned Israeli businessman, FJC President Lev Leviev. They also met with Israel’s Minister of Strategic Planning, Avigdor Liebermann.

Victor Kress extended thanks to Lev Leviev and Rabbi Kaminetsky extended his deepest appreciation for his persistent activity directed at advancing the development of Jewish communities in Russia. The two officials encouraged Lev Leviev to visit Tomsk and Rabbi Kaminetsky invited him to witness first-hand the blossoming of local Jewish life in this Siberian center.

In his turn, Lev Leviev then thanked Governor Victor Kress for carrying out such fruitful interaction with the local Jewish community and wished the delegation success in strengthening economic and social bonds between Israel and the Tomsk Region.
