Day 3 of JLI’s Land & Spirit Tour of Israel
120 shluchim and shluchos along with 770 Chabad House community members arrived in Israel on Monday to participate in JLI’s Land and Spirit Israel Experience. The group, traveling from across the US, Canada, Australia, as well as from Central and South America, is the largest group to visit Israel this year.
Each group headed off Wednesday morning to their preferred itinerary. The diverse options included the ancient ruins of Tel Be’er Sheva, Valley of Ayalon, the Old Port of Jaffa, Rabin Center in Tel Aviv, Barkan Winery, the bustling Levinsky Market, Biblical Bet Shemesh, the site of David’s battle against Goliath and the Shmura Matza bakery & Esrog orchards of Kfar Chabad Some participants also met with wounded IDF veterans, at Bet HaLochem and had a chance to see Israeli’s incredible new technologies and promising start-ups in Herzliya. In the evening, all groups joined together with 200 soldiers at the Armored Corps Memorial and Tank Museum at Latrun for a special dinner to honor the heroes of the IDF.
