Shluchim Lead Build-a-Bear Inspired Workshops
Chabad houses near and far are currently running their own Build-a-Bear inspired workshops with a twist: cuddly challah pillows. The event, designed by CKids of Merkos 302, teaches children about the ancient origins of Challah and its deeper connection with shabbos while giving them an opportunity to express their creativity.
To bring their pillows to “life,” each child selects a mitzvah resolution that is meaningful to them to write down and place inside their challos. Once completed each child receives an official certificate with their challah pillow’s name and birth certificate
“The challah pillows were so adorable and a huge wow factor. The graphics and PR always on point and fantastic, was a great program from top to bottom!” said Mrs. Rochel Teldon from San Antonio, Texas.
Mrs. Rapoport from Mequon, WI added “Such a well planned, creative, interactive and fun program for all of our kids!”
The event also gave children the opportunity to take their challah-making skills to the kitchen by cooking up chocolate filled babkallas. This exploration into shabbos is only the beginning for many children and their families, who continued their adventures last week as Chabad Houses and Hebrew Schools worldwide hosted the CKids’ Shabbat Takeover with over 8,000 children leading their families in the shabbos festivities.
