At the bakery, participants have an opportunity to learn and to bake their own matzah.
“This is a hands-on experience that provides a real thrill and a great education,” said Rabbi Nechemia Vogel, director of Chabad Lubavitch. “Both adults and children participate.”
The Model Matzah Bakery is free and open to the public from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 4 to 5 p.m. Monday. Other times have been reserved for schools and other groups.
The Model Matzah Bakery is funded in part by a grant from Tops Markets Inc. For more information about the bakery, call the Chabad Center For Jewish Enrichment at (585) 271-0330.
