Purim Celebrated in Moscow with New Torah

In Russia, the 1,000’s of members of the Jewish community merged the celebration of the completion of a brand new Sefer Torah along with the holiday of Purim in the Marina Roscha Synagogue in Moscow.

Headed by Rabbi Berel Lazar, the Chief Rabbi of Russia, the festivities began with the writing of the final letter of a new Sefer Torah donated by Lev Leviev.
