Moscow Students Utilize Winter Break to Spread Judaism
During their week off from school for winter break, the students of Moscow’s Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim traveled to the country’s far east – a nine hour flight from the capital – in order to bring the warmth of Judaism to the Jews living there.
The Bochurim traveled to the cities of Chabarovsk, Vladivostok and Birobidjan – the last of which is the capital of the Autonomous Jewish Republic created by Stalin ym”s.
The project was spearheaded by Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar.
