Letter: Food at Every Table, Mitzvos in Every Corner

A wandering Jew writes to the Shliach in Cancun about his experiences at a Chabad House elsewhere in Mexico:

Dear Rabbi,

I hope you and your family are doing well.

I recently was able to take you up on the suggestion you have given me so many times, when traveling to the Riviera Maya, and boy am i glad i did.

I always marveled at the fact that you youngsters open the doors, turn on the lights and the yidels come flooding in. It was my first visit to your sister branch in Playa Del Carmen, what i saw blew me away. I felt like a journalist in a sea of multiple nationalities and ages. I am sending you some photos attached.

It was a fantastic experience, there was food and good company at every table and mitzvos in every corner, i met someone from Moscow, Mexico City, Toronto, London and Paris in the same half hour, i think that may have been a first for me. Maybe my current trip to the London Olympics will surpass that!

Please send Rabbi Godlberg and his family my regards and i promise to return next time i am in the area.

Stephen

P.S. It was the best shawarma i have ever had, better than Teaneck…
