Thousands of Russian Jews Welcome New Center

Despite a bleak forecast of strong wind and rain, a celebration was held at the Montreal Chabad Center for Russian immigrants to dedicate the newly renovated building and welcome a new Sefer torah for the Shul inside – all in beautiful weather.

Over one thousand Jews, most refugees from the Soviet Union, joined in the celebration for the new center, which is directed by Rabbi Yisroel and Mrs. Chana Sirota. The new center was donated by their son-in-law, Dovid Schottenstein.
