Mexican Themed Purim in Northeast London

Record numbers of people celebrated Purim with Chabad of Northeast London, Essex and Ilford, UK this year.

The theme of the Purim party was Mexico. 160 men, women and children came – many dressed in traditional Mexican garb – to celebrate in the true spirit of Purim.

The Seudah was a culmination of Chabad’s Purim activities, through which some 600 local Jews were able to attend Megillah readings, as well as individual home and hospital visits.

Hundreds of Mishloach Manos were distributed, including to the aged and housebound.

Three Bochurim the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Brunoy, France – Avremel Cunin, Mendel Kozliner and Dovber Fridman – joined the local team of Shluchim for the Purim activities, which were a success thanks to their Chayus and participation.
