Chabad of Hunterdon Holds 5th Annual Auction
Chabad of Hunterdon County hosted its fifth Annual auction at the Beaver Brook Country Club in Annandale, NJ on Sunday, March 9th.
200 hundred people attended the auction evening which raised money for the Child Development Center at the Hunterdon Medical Center and for Chabad of Hunterdon Educational Scholarship Fund. Comedian Sarge provided jaw straining comedy. The food was provided by Fumio.
“The community came out in droves to show their support for two important causes” said Lea Goldberg of Flemington, NJ “This was really a fun way to support health, education and religion, these are pillars that make for a strong community” remarked Adriane Berg of Tewksbury, NJ.
“Our auction has really grown in recent years, more than 400 people participated in person and online. It’s important to bring the community together for a fun night of charity and awareness” Said Rabbi Eli Kornfeld Director of Chabad of Hunterdon.
Chabad of Hunterdon presented a check for $5,000 to the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation to fund its Child Development Center. Proceeds from the auction also funded Chabad of Hunterdon Educational Scholarship fund and will proved 30 scholarships this coming year.
All told, fifty nine prize winners were announced as well as the Split the Pot winner.
