Mountain View, CA – Menorah Vandalized
For the first time in Mountain View, California’s history an 8 foot Menorah had been erected in front of the City Hall. It was erected Friday afternoon by the local Shliach, and when they came to light it the second night they were shocked to find that someone had vandalized the Menorah. All the bulbs had been broken and the electric cable had been torn.
The Menorah has since been repaired and they will be going ahead with the plans to have a grand Menorah lighting tonight. And in response the Shliach said that next year they plan to have a 15 foot menorah!
