Chabad of Monroe Celebrates 10th Anniversary

A packed crowd of close to 300 was on hand for Chabad Jewish Center of Monroe’s Gala tribute celebration. The event marked the 10 year anniversary of the Chabad Jewish Center of Monroe, and a decade of service to the Jewish community, headed by Rabbi Eliezer and Chanie Zaklikovsky.

The gala tribute event and celebration honored four distinguished couples from the local community. All of the honorees have made great contributions to the Chabad Jewish Center, enabling it to reach the great success that it is today through their ongoing support.

As longtime friends and supporters were honored, participants reflected on a decade of growth, of hard work and accomplishments, of a community built, and a vibrant center established.

The gala featured a delectable buffet brunch, a beautiful video presentation highlighting the ten wonderful years of Chabad and encouraged attendees to envision an even brighter future as it enters its second decade.

Rabbi Moshe Zaklikofsky, veteran Shliach in Detroit, Michigan, recited a prayer for Israel. A prayer for USA was recited by RabbiJoshua Finkelstein of East Brunswick Jewish Center.

Heartwarming speeches were delivered by the various honorees, demonstrating the vital work and deep impact of Chabad in the area.

The celebration concluded with a moving Torah dedication ceremony, which was welcomed with lively dancing to the fantastic music of Ed Goldberg and the Odessa Klezmer Band.

The Gala highlighted the vast educational and social work of Chabad Jewish Center of Monroe, directed by Rabbi Eliezer and Chanie Zaklikovsky, which is a clear testament to the living legacy of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, his vision, his passion, and spiritual leadership.
