Picture of the Day: Shofar on the Field!
Just an hour before the first pitch of the game in which the New York Mets faced off against the Detroit Tigers Rabbi Mendy Heber, of Chabad of Brookville, seized the opportunity to blow the Shofar right behind home plate.
The opportunity to blow the Shofar came while Rabbi Heber, who along with a group of special chidren from his Chabad House and from the Friendship Circle of West Heampstead, which is directed by Rabbi Yossi Leiberman, got a special visit to Citi Field in Queens where they met players from the Mets, walked on the field just before the game and later got to watch the game.
A full story and photo gallery will be posted later on.
