New Women’s Rosh Chodesh Site Launched

In honor of Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av, when the Rebbe teaches that we’re supposed to find ways to bring out the inner meaning of the mourning and to celebrate all that is permissible to celebrate during this time, Chabad.org rolled out an all-new special Rosh Chodesh site for women.
According to Mrs. Rivka Grossbaum, shluchah to Minneapolis, Minn., who coordinated the creation of the site with Chabad.org’s development and TheJewishWoman.org teams, “Rosh Chodesh is considered to be a yom tov for women, and we wanted to create a special space for Jewish women — of all walks of life — to celebrate Rosh Chodesh and become uplifted, rejuvenated and inspired with knowledge and tools for each month, applicable to their daily lives.”
The new Rosh Chodesh site, currently in beta form while new articles and features are added in the lead-up to Rosh Chodesh Elul, encompasses a wide array of content for a Jewish woman for each upcoming month: essays discussing the meaning of the month and its events, practical tips, guides, a list of special dates, recipes and more.
In a series created especially for the new Rosh Chodesh site, world-reknown lecturer Shimona Zukernik explores the hidden meaning of the particular month, according to Kabbalah and Chassidus.
And a dynamic search engine allows women to search for all events in their area, giving them the opportunity to connect to other local Jewish women, such as the popular  Rosh Chodesh Society program.
Mrs. Chana Weisberg, newly installed editor of Chabad.org’s TheJewishWoman.org website, under whose banner the Rosh Chodesh website joined, said, “We look forward to empowering every Jewish woman with this new website, to help each woman really feel that Rosh Chodesh is a personal day of celebration!”
