
Governor Cuomo Welcomes Montreal-NY Travelers
ALBANY, NY [CHI] — Governor Andrew Cuomo has issued a proclamation citing Albany’s Maimonides School for serving Northway travelers year round with a minyan, the “Passover Stopover” and the upcoming “87 Northway Traveler’s Torah” for the Albany, Saratoga, Lake George and Adirondack regions.
Daily Shacharis at Shomray Torah 463 New Scotland Ave. begins 8am, Mincha/Maariv at 7:25pm.
Montreal’s Chief Rabbi Yonason Weiss and the Vaad Ha’ir Executive Rabbi Saul Immanuel recently lauded Albany’s Heimish hospitality, recalling the legendary “Shtetl -Kretchme” roadside inns offering weary travelers a warm welcome to refresh, physically and spiritually, from their long trips.
