Chabad Encourages Grandchildren to Honor Grandparents at the Seder Table

The children at the Jack Soshnick Chabad Hebrew School in Merrick helped kick off the Grandparents Award Project of Long Island. “It’s so important to encourage children,” says Rabbi Anchelle Perl, “to pause and show more honor and appreciation to their grandparents”.

Thousands of Children across Long Island and the tri-state are eagerly looking forward to Honoring their Grandparents with a Surprise Award at the Passover Seder.During the Seder grandchildren will introduce this special Grandparent Award with warm words of appreciation on how their grandparent(s) have uplifted their lives with their love and support!

“Sitting at the Seder is a special time for children to see themselves as part of the long chain of Yiddishkeit from the past and their vital role into the future.” Chabad of Mineola is providing beautifully handcrafted certificate to each student to make this surprise presentation to their Grandparent(s).
