Chabad of Beijing Dedicates New Center

The central airport of Beijing, China looked more like Ben Gurion Airport on an Erev Yom Tov, with tens of people coming in to participate in the Siyum Sefer Torah and dedication of a new Chabad House in the city.

Chabad of Beijing is run by Rabbi Shimon Freundlich along with his wife Dini and their children.

The event began early in the morning with Shacharis, followed by a Siyum Sefer Torah, which was donated by Mr. Alan Green.

Mazel-tov and much nachus for the future, having been to beijiong, I was impressed at the accomplishment then. they had at the time a mikvah, school resturant and other services. The Rebbe’s directive and blessing are prevelent in their accomplishments. China is a very interesting place to visit and many of the major cities have Chabad centers–A great gift to the world from the Rebbe.

Go R. Freundlich! I had the pleasure of meeting him one time in Korea. Best wishes in all things. I hope to hear nothing but good news.
