Two hundred members of the Jewish Community of Smolensk, Russia gathered together in the prestigious 7/40 restaurant to celebrate Purim!
The participants heard the reading of the Megillah by Rabbi Levi Mondshine, shliach and Chief Rabbi of the Smolensk Region. All had the opportunity to fulfill the other 3 mitzvos of purim as well.
The excitement reached unprecedented levels during the concert of the Jewish singer Yevgeni Valevitch. The dancing and farbrengens continued into the night, long after the official program ended.
Young shlucha Moussia Mondshine dressed as a candle and distributed shabbos candle lighting kits to all the woman and girls present.
