Chabad Center of Northwest, NJ Marks 23rd Ann.

A festive banquet observing the 23rd anniversary of the Chabad Center of Northwest NJ, took place on Thursday, November 18th, at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston.

The evening was filled with emotion and elation as each honoree shared facets of their respective spiritual and entrepreneurial journeys, as well as their personal experiences with the Chabad Center.

Raphael and Susan Weizman, devoted supporters and founders of ‘Total Hearing Care,’ were honored with the Community Leadership Award.

Leonard Solondz, an ardent philanthropist and respected developer, recived the Man of the Year Award.

“Over the last 23 years we have, with the Al-mighty’s help, grown from a very small nucleus of pioneers to 6 established community centers,” said Rabbi Asher Herson, Regional Director of the Chabad Centers in Northwest NJ.

“The success we have seen is only a result of the selfless efforts of individuals who have put our educational and charitable activities at the forefront of their busy lives,” he added.

The theme of the dinner was “Igniting Souls.”

Established in 1988 by a small group of volunteers, the Chabad Center of Northwest New Jersey has grown into a multifaceted network of educational, social and charitable programs.

Chabad?s diversified programs serve the greater region with six community centers established in Morris, Sussex and Warren counties.

Additionally, a brand-new Educational Center, the first of its kind in Northwest NJ, provides innovative and meaningful opportunities for children and adults of all ages.

Although the Center?s framework is rooted in Jewish tradition, it conducts many nonsectarian programs in conjunction with local school districts, hospitals, police departments and municipalities.
