WHIPPANY, NJ [CHI] — Last week, an overflow crowd of 400 attorneys and judges packed The Hanover Marriott Whippany, NJ to attend Chabad of SE Morris County’s 4th Annual Jewish Law Symposium.

Raymond M. Brown Esq., host of the Emmy Award winning NJN Program “Due Process” moderated the timely and relevant discussion along with featured panelists: Justice Gary S. Stein, NJ Supreme Court (Ret.), Professor Sherman L. Cohn, Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and member of the ABA Reading Team for U.S. Supreme Court nominees, and Rabbi Dr. Ronald Warburg, a noted Talmudic Scholar and Author.

The program was opened by Florham Park Attorney Jacqueline Greenberg Vogt Esq. of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and opening remarks were made by Rabbi Shalom Lubin, founder of the Jewish Law Symposium, and Director of Chabad of SE Morris County, based in Madison, NJ.

The symposium was open to attorneys and judges from all faiths and walks of life, and NY, NJ, and PA CLE Credits were provided.

“The turnout at this year’s Jewish Law Symposium just phenomenal! With the recent changes to both the U.S. Supreme Court and the New Jersey Supreme Court, this evening’s topic was most timely and interesting, and gave all the attendees much food for thought. The ethical challenges related to selecting judges, making judicial decisions in challenging circumstances, and the issue of the independence of the judiciary have affected our judicial systems for centuries, and are most relevant to the times we find ourselves today”, said Rabbi Shalom Lubin, founder of the Jewish Law Symposium and Executive Director of Chabad of SE Morris County.

Event Chairs and Advisory board members include: Frederic K. Becker Esq., Harold I. Braff Esq., Cary B. Cheifetz Esq., Barry H. Evenchick Esq., Michael H. Forman Esq., Michael D. Francis Esq., Bruce I. Goldstein Esq., Alan R. Hammer Esq., Michael B. Himmel Esq., I Michael Kessel Esq., Joseph P. Lasala Esq., William M. Laufer Esq., Stuart M. Lederman Esq., Lawrence S.
