Incredible Sukkos program in Russia’s largest Sukkah!

ULYANOVSK, Russia [CHI] — Over 300 Jews participated in our exhilarating Sukkos event! 4 volunteers with lulav and esrog in hand helped everyone fulfill this special mitzvah. As they entered the largest sukkah in Russia (nearly 2,000 sqare feet!), the participants were pleasantly surprised by how magnificent the place looked, and how warm it felt. The courtyard was recently renovated for our Hachnosas Sefer Torah to look and feel like the old city of Jerusalem.

During the festive meal, the crowd was entertained by various singers and dance groups. “Nefesh”, our local band, headed by Igor Dabakarov, played lively music throughout the evening. The joy and happiness was felt everywhere that night as the people danced, sang and enjoyed the holiday spirit.

Very disappointed to read such comments.
What a problem with the flags?!?!?!?
I was born in USSR, I served in IDF and now baal teshuva.
And very proud to see Israeli flags in Russian Sukkah.
Even though I know now the view on Israeli Independence day and etc. it doesn’t take away the significance of State of Israel in today time.
And besides, especially for the Russian Jews, the Israeli flag means more than you will ever know and understand.
So be happy and proud of Israeli flag.
