Children Receive Kosher Holiday Food Packages
Chernigov Ukraine – 53 children received food packages filled with goodies in honor of the new year.
Children are invited to our center for an afternoon of fun and games. Before they go home, they receive a goody bag of staples such as flour, chicken, canned goods. The bag is so large (11 kg or 24 lbs) that the parents can barely shlep it home.
To families that make a salary of $200 a month, the average in Chernigov, these packages really are a lifeline, enabling the children to eat nutritious, filling food.
The cost of one package – $36. The smile on a child’s face – pure sweetness.
