Stunning New Mikvah Opens in France

After years without a mikvah, Chabad of Seine-et-Marne, the French department #77 located in the Île-de-France region, close to the international EuroDisney amusement park, has inaugurated an elegant state-of-the-art ritual bath.

Some 150 people from the local Jewish community attended the opening on Monday together with Shluchim from the area.

The mikvah’s founders Rabbi Yossi Amar and his wife Tsalcha Amar have received rave reviews for the building’s beauty and architecture.

It was built under the guidance of the renown expert Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum and the hechsher of the London Dayan Rabbi Levi Raskin.

The event opened with the reading of a letter of the Rebbe to a Mikvah opening. It was read by Rabbi Mendel Azimov of Paris, a Mikvah expert who also represented his father, Paris’ Head Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Azimov.

Rabbi Amar’s father, Rabbi Yaakov Amar, was honored with putting up the Mezuza.
