Chabad of Hunterdon’s 7th Anniversary Banquet

PERRYVILLE, NJ [CHI] — Chabad of Hunterdon County, NJ celebrated its 7th Anniversary Dinner Banquet with a memorable Dinner Banquet at the Grand Colonial in Perryville.

It was a special event with many community business leaders, organizational leaders as well as political leaders joining the over two hundred and two hundred and forty people in attendance.

The event featured Craig Carton from the Boomer and Carton number one rated radio show on WFAN in NYC as its MC. Carton who joked about his own Jewish background praised Chabad for its expansive programs and community outreach.

Actor and entertainer Joe Piscopo was honored with the Community Service Award and Henry Kuhl CEO of Kuhl Corp was honored with the Community Leadership Award.

Rabbi Eli Kornfeld Chabad of Hunterdon County Executive Director remarked “The event was a tribute to the community and its willingness to support and partner with Chabad in insuring its continued growth and success”

US Congressman Leonard Lance presented Mr. Kuhl with a specially minted flag that was flown over the capital in his honor. State Senator Michael Daugherty, County assemblyman Erick Peterson and County Freeholder William Mennen presented proclamations to the honorees.

Proceeds from the Dinner will fund Chabad of Hunterdon’s growing number of programs servicing the Hunterdon County area.

Following the cocktail hour everyone was treated to a special video presentation highlighting the achievements Chabad has accomplished during its first seven years as well as its vision for the future.

The event featured many who shared their personal experiences with Chabad including Jeremy Miller, who spoke about overcoming his autism to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah at Chabad of Hunterdon County, an experience that he dubbed as “the most memorable moment of my life” the crowd was moved by his heart felt story.

The night concluded with special musical pieces by Yoel Sharabi, Joe Piscopo and J.T. Carter from the Crests.
