Pride at Lag BaOmer Parade in Kharkov

Hundreds of children and adults joined an amazing parade of pride through the main streets of Kharkov, Pushkinskaya and Sumskaya. Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz mentioned that this year we are celebrating 20 years of the Jewish community and the return of the main shul.

The parade began with the 12 pesukim and program arranged by Rabbi Levi raices. Despite being a public holiday the turnout was bigger than ever.

The police closed the two main streets of Kharkov to let the crowd march. People looked on from the street, stores and houses; taking photos and filming the kiddush Hashem in the streets.

Many elderly mentioned the tragic marches of Jews in the holocaust in Kharkov, and how miraculous it is to walking on the same streets with the police closing the streets for the Jews.

On returning to the shul. the fun continued with a jumping castle, pony rides and face painting .

Barbeques and bonfires were made for the students and a farbrengen with Rabbi Chaim Levinson.
