Excitement and surprise filled all present as the name Menachem Mendel was announced - a truly uncommon name for that Persian community.
The joy was overwhelming as a Persian couple, married for over 18 years, gave birth to their first baby boy. On the eighth day, in a highly festive spirit, the Bris was performed in Chabad of Brookville by the Mohel, Rabbi Levi Heber. The father donned Tefillin and served as Sandek. Rabbi Mendy Heber, the Shliach of Brookville, was honored to bless the child and introduce his Hebrew name.
And his Name Menachem Mendel

At the festive meal Mrs. Hakim addressed the curious crowd of friends and family. She explained that after 2 girls she could not conceive for 13 years. “My greatest desire was to be blessed with a baby boy”. She said that a friend suggested that I go to the Rebbe’s Ohel. “As I entered, I felt that my prayers would be answered. With tears in my eyes I prayed and made a promise – A Neder – that when a child would be born I would name him Menachem Mendel. Now one year later I am grateful to be here and fulfill my promise by naming my baby Menachem Mendel”.
