Chabad Youth Zone Ends Winter with Snow-Tubing and Teddy Bears

GOSHEN, NY — Chabad’s Kids In Action Youth Zone recently had a fabulous afternoon snow tubing and sipping hot cocoa at Tuxedo Ridge. Afterward the twenty-five youngsters decorated teddy bears for children in local hospitals.

“Kids-In-Action-For-the-Community is all about the kids enjoying themselves and having fun together, while simultaneously helping other children in need,” says Chana Burston, who co-directs Chabad of Orange County with her husband, Rabbi Pesach Burston.

The children traced and cut patterns in their choice of material, and dressed their fluffy teddy bears with love. “They got really creative,” said Chabad’s Youth director Chaya Goldman, “they designed lace hats, little capes and belts…they felt proud of what they made and excited to do a good deed.”
