This year again the West Hempstead community experienced much joy and excitement, as the Chabad of West Hempstead fire engine screeched its Chanukah sirens throughout the neighborhood. This was the start of the 7th annual Chabad community Chanukah celebration.

This year again the West Hempstead community experienced much joy and excitement, as the Chabad of West Hempstead fire engine screeched its Chanukah sirens throughout the neighborhood. This was the start of the 7th annual Chabad community Chanukah celebration.
The fire engine made designated stops along the way for people to gather. The firefighters distributed chocolate Chanukah Gelt and Dreidels to all bringing the joy to everyone.
The fire engine finished its route at Halls Pond Park where a huge crowd was gathered for a grand celebration which included a Menorah lighting ceremony, Hot Latkes, Fresh donuts, Chanukah gifts and live music.
