Picturesque Mikvah Being Renovated in Tzfat

TZFAT, Israel [CHI] — In his last visit to Tzfat Rabbi Joseph Gutnick visited the Mikvah in Kiriyat Chabad which he sponsored over 25 years ago, and he commissioned the renovation and refurbishment of the aging Mikvah.

Mikvah Chana, which is named after the Rebbes Mother Rebbetzin Chana, was built by Shliach Rabbi Aryeh Leib Kaplan OBM all those years ago, but the years and use have taken its toll, and the renovations were long overdue.

Currently the main bath room has been renovated, complete with ancient Tzafti stone work capped off with a large centerpiece of Reb Michoel Muchniks artwork.

The woman’s Mikvah is managed by Mrs. Rivky Kaplan, who also managed the construction project, and was assisted by interior designer Mrs. Natalie Riss.

  • tourist with bad experience

I’m wondering if they renovated or cleaned the rest of the mikvah.
about 2 years ago, as a tourist, I needed to use this mikvah, and had a horrible experience….
there were big bugs crawling out of the slippers I needed to use, the bathroom had no toilet paper or tissues inside, and I was give a small towel to cover myself with and then walk down the hallway like that until the room of the mikvah (I guess they don’t believe in bath robes).
The actualy mivah is tiny, when i toilved,, i knocked my nose on the steps, and had a bruise for 2 weeks after…
