A Community Celebrates its Rabbis 40th Birthday
CEDARHURST, NY [CHI] — Chabad of the 5 Towns celebrated the 40th birthday of Rabbi Zalman Wolowik, and succeeded in planting a very big smile on the Rabbi’s face. In addition to the Farbrengen on Shabbos and other celebrations with family members and friends, Rabbi Wolowik’s wife, Rebbeztin Chanie Wolowik, arranged that at least 40 men that are not regular Minyan attendees or “Tefillin Daveners” join for Sunday morning Shachris followed by a birthday breakfast and Gemorra Shiur.

In addition to the men that joined for the minyan, those that were unable to make it were very excited about the idea and were very appreciative to have been called about it.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to call many community members and Hebrew School parents to join in this most auspicious birthday present for the Rabbi” said Rabbi Meir Geisinsky, the Chabad 5 Towns youth director, other Shluchim are encouraged to use their birthday as an opportunity to bring men and teens in their community to join in the Mitzvah Tefillin and Daven with a Minyan.
