Network of Chabad on Campus has a Blast in NY

NEW YORK, NY [CHI] — The Chabad Student Network recently organized a student group weekend in New York. The event started off as 30 students boarded a coach bus, where they were off to Manhattan for a 2 day stay in luxurious hotels.

They spent Shabbat in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. According to David Waltes “The trip was very inspirational and I loved every minute of it. The events were exciting, the food was fabulous, and the shabbos experience was so special.” Sarah Libam of Ottawa U writes” I was very intrigued by the Crown Heights atmosphere, it was truly unique and something I had never experienced before. It was amazing to see complete strangers take us into their homes and welcome us with open arms. It reinforced the fact that Jews will always take care of other Jews, no matter where they are from and what religious background they are familiar with.

The trip was sponsored by generous donors in the Ottawa community and organized by Lauren Selcer and Michelle Segal of the Chabad Student Network Executive committee of the Chabad Student Network.
