NEW HAVEN, CT [CHI] — For the sixth year now, Talmidim-Shluchim from across N. America enjoyed a most enjoyable and inspiring three days, at the Kinus Talmidim Hashluchim, organized by the “Vaad talmidei Hatmimim”, held this year in New Haven, CT.

The Kinus started early Friday morning when the Shluchim had the Zechus of Davening Shacharis in the Rebbes house. That was followed with a few moments upstairs in 770, in the Freidiker Rebbes room where they were given a few minutes to say Tehillim.
A special thanks to Rabbis Yehuda Krinsky and Sholom Ber Levin for allowing us these special moments
The Shluchim continued on to the Ohel where the Shluchim went in together and a Pan Kloli was read in the name of all the Shluchim for Brocha and Hatzlochoh on their Shlichus
After a quick breakfast the Shluchim got on a bus and headed to New Haven for Shabbos
After Mincha there was a Shiur on a Sicha by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Kalmanson, Rosh Yeshiva of the yeshiva in New Haven, followed by Kabolas Shabbos and Seudas Shabbos. The Shluchim were joined at the Seuda by Rabbi Binyomin Katz, one of the Anash of New Haven who shared his experiences of being on a secret shlichus in the soviet union and again by Rabbi Kalmanson, who farbrenged. The farbrengen continued until the early hours of the morning mitoch sheves achim gam yochad
Shabbos morning before Shacharis there was a shiur Chassidus by the guest for Shabbos, Rabbi Mendel Groner, Shliach of the Rebbe to Eretz Yisroel and Rosh Yeshiva in Kiryat Gat. After davening Rabbi Groner farbrenged truly inspiring the Bochurim to do their Shlichus and about their Shlichus
Motzei Shabbos and Sunday the program went from chabad house to Chabad House in Connecticut, giving the Bochurim an appreciation of the Chabad work in the area.
The Melave Malka was hosted by Rabbi Shea Hecht and Rabbi Shneur Wilhelm in the Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy (a Chabad Day School). A very beautiful and inspiring evening, we heard divrei chizuk from Rabbi Yossi Chodakov , (Chabad of Westville) and Rabbi Avrohom Sternberg (Chabad of New London).
Sunday after Shacharis and breakfast, the Shluchim first went to the Chabad of Glastonbury (Rabbi Yosef Wolvovsky) where they were treated to a special presentation by Rabbi Chaim Shaul Bruk of Vaad Hanochos B’Lahak explaining the intricacies of the publication of the Rebbes Torah and the way the Rebbe was Magihah the Sichos.
They continued on from there to Chabad of the Farmington Valley (Rabbi Mendel Samuels), where first Rabbi Samuels himself spoke to the Bochurim and afterwards the Shluchim sat together, and, following the inspiration of the Shabbos, came up with a few practical Hachlotos to bring back to their respective Yeshivos
The Kinus ended off with a gala banquet hosted by Rabbi Yosef Gopin and Chabad of Greater Hartford. At the Banquet, the Shluchim heard Divrei Chizuk from Rabbi Yosef Gopin, Rabbi Shaya Gopin and Rabbi Yosef Wolvovsky. A special video a Pirsum Rishon of the Rally of Chof-Ches Kislev 5746 was shown and a beautiful Teshura, a compilation of different Sichos and Horo’os from the Rebbe was given out.
The banquet ended off on a high when after all those inspiring words (and the energy taken from the whole Kinus) – before they went back to their place of Shlichus – the Shluchim spontaneously started dancing to the song of ‘ From 770 . . . Shluchei Adoneinu’ and also the song of Uforatzto – that’s how they really felt!
“In 5750 – Shmuly Hecht of Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim says – ”the Rebbe strongly encouraged and derived much Nachas from the Kinus, we therefore see this as a top priority of ours.
“By the Shluchim going away from a Kinus inspired to fulfill their mission to the maximum, the Kinus is actually inspiring the entire Oilam Hayeshivas”
The Vaad would like to thank all of the Shluchim and others who gave of their time wo help with this beautiful kinus, especially the Talmidim Hashluchim to New Haven who helped organize the entire program and the Hanholah of the Yeshivah in New Haven for their help especially Rabbi Yosef Lustig the Menahel Ruchni and Rabbi Yosef Deitch the Menahel Gashmi for hosting the event and all the effort and help they gave us. May Hashem bless them all with only good things B’tov Hanireh v’hanigleh.
