Hakhel Es HaAm, in Kharkov!
KHARKOV, Ukraine [CHI] — Over 800 people participated in a special Hakhel concert in Kharkov on Chol Hamoed Sukkos. Over 100 people came by bus from over 14 cities around the Kharkov, Summy and Poltava Region (which include the city’s of Haditch, Konotop, Shostka, Lubny and Summy) and participated in a seminar about Sukkos led by Rabbi Levi Raices and Rabbi Chaim Levinson.

Everyone who came to the program shook Lulav and Etrog, learnt about Shnas Hakhel and made a Brocha in the Sukka. Rabbi Moishe Moskovitz, Chief Rabbi of Kharkov, thanked everyone for coming and being a part of the Hakhel and explained the importance and meaning of Hakhel.
The 12 Pesukim were recited by the children of Cheder Menachem led by Rabbi Shlomo Segal. Rabbi Yechiel Shlomo Levitansky, Shliach in Summy, and Rabbi Yossi Segal, Shliach in Poltava, spoke as well in the name of their communities.
The crowd enjoyed the performance of the boys choir ‘Tzveti Ukraina’ and made a firm resolution to join in all future activities this Hakhel year. Everyone received gifts and felt the true spirit of Sukkos. The program was sponsored by the President of the Jewish Community and member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Alexander Feldman.

What a great Hakel and beautiful Kiddush Hashem. Over so many communities and so many noshomos/people.
Am sure Hashem & the receives much nachas ruach from all the hard work that continues to be done in Harkov by all the Rabbis and Rebitzens, shluchim etc
