Hillside, NJ [CHI] — Sunday, June 29th, Bris Avrohom of Hillside New Jersey dedicated the new Bat Sheva~Chaya Esther Mikvah. The Bat Sheva~Chaya Esther Mikvah was built in memory of Bat Sheva ob”m Kanelsky, an innocent infant taken from this world after only 65 days, and Rebbetzin Chaya Esther ob”m Zaltzman, a righteous woman who was tragically taken, on Erev Yom Kippur, in a horrific car accident. This Mikvah was built to give life to their legacies, as well as to provide a luxurious spa-like mikvah for the use of the Jewish community of New Jersey.
The building is 3000 square feet and contains both a men’s and a women’s mikvah, with separate entrances for complete discretion. The mikvahs themselves are beautifully tiled in soothing tones of blue. The women’s mikvah is surrounded by a lush garden and the calming sounds of a waterfall. The preparation rooms all boast personal Jacuzzis, heated floors, relaxing music, granite counters, a telephone in every room and plush towels and robes. The Bride’s room is especially elegant to make any bride feel pampered. Even the waiting room is furnished gracefully, with a serene fish tank and a hand painted ceiling of delicate hues, reflecting the dual personalities of Chaya Esther and Bat Sheva.
The dedication ceremony was attended by hundreds of supporters and community members. Guests were given the opportunity to have a tour of the new Mikvah, as well as to sample a scrumptious smorgasbord of brunch delicacies. The ceremony was followed by a ribbon cutting and several prominent rabbis were honored with the mitzvah of affixing a new mezuzah to each doorpost.
