LONG ISLAND, NY — While many were busy cleaning for Pesach, the Chabad of the Five Towns Chai Five club helped one young couple have the wedding of their dreams. On April 6, the group of 25 third- to fifth-grade girls traveled to Crown Heights to see their months of hard work pay off on the glowing faces of the bride and groom.

Chani Rubashkin, one of the coordinators of the group, summarized the experience: “What started out as a nice gesture to minimally partake in the enormous expenses of making a wedding resulted in Chai Five collecting enough to cover basic—yet major—costs, all thanks to our young, energetic Chai Five members! The girls worked diligently and responsibly, filling the forms and collecting the money that was promised to them.”

The girls held a swim-a-thon and a charity box drive to raise the necessary funds for the kallah—a Hurricane Katr
