Severe Thunderstorm and Wind Advisories in Place For New York City Tonight

The National Weather Service has published a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and a Wind Advisory for Monday night, March 7th.

According to the NWS, Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph through 4:00am Tuesday, possibly causing unsecured items to be blown around and cause tree limbs to topple.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was put in place this evening until 11:00pm, leading to the possibility of local flash flooding.
