SHOMRIM ALERT: Mugging on Carroll Street, Please Be Vigilant of Your Surroundings

Crown Heights Shomrim has published an alert notifying the community of a mugging that took place on Carroll Street in Crown Heights.

According to Shomrim, the victim had been walking on Carroll Street between Troy and Schenectady when the male victim was approached by three people who robbed him of some cash.

No weapon was displayed and the victim was not injured.

Please stay vigilant of your surroundings at all times.

Update: The same crew had attempted an earlier mugging in the vicinity of President and Troy, which was disrupted when the intended victim began screaming for help. Later, one of the muggers was caught and arrested by the NYPD on East New York Ave and Troy.

    He was likely released within an hour. Especially since less than $1,000 was taken. No bail and no jail.
    People need to carry pepper spray
