
PSA: Heatwave To Hit NYC Starting Monday
The National Weather Service has issued a heatwave advisory for the New York City area as hot and humid weather is expected to arrive around noon Monday and stick around until around 8:00pm Tuesday.
The heat index is expected to climb close to 104, with the highest index values occurring during the afternoon and early evening hours. The heat advisory may need to be extended into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service also publish a Rip Current advisory from Sunday morning through the evening.
