Because of the vital importance of this matter and the need for mutual co-operation, the respective Yeshivos have made attendance mandatory for all fathers and mothers of grades 5 thru 8 as well as for the Mesivta parents.
Attendance will be taken, valuable prize raffled off.
Looking forward to greet you.

Maybe it is time that the head mechanchim of the schools take a sabbatical and then come back and do their job properly after using some of that year to go and learn something from these very same Distinguished mechanchem that I beleive some of them are sorely missing
Just wondering
Are they joking “ attendance manadtory for all fathers and mothers” – And who is supposed to be watching the children at hom “making sure they are safe”!!! HELLO!!!
to just wondering
to just wondering:
Of course it’s difficult, but don’t try to tell anyone that you NEVER go out with your spouse and have older siblings (mesivta) or a babysitter watch your children
But, on the same note, are they giving off night seder for mesivta so these boys can babysit, AND the teachers can attend as well?
to Just wondering:
have you ever heard of babysitters?
I’m sure that doesnt stop you when you go out on a leisure evening.
Although i do agree writing “mandetory” is a little weird, we are adults.

Let the kiddies congregate at the Ice Cream Shop. All of our heilige yungerleit are there. It is safe, enjoyable, and why not reward all of their hard school work with chocolate chip in a sugar cone? Let’s show the hood that it is safe to be out on the street til 2 am. Let’s take back our streets!

Once again, from the safety of an anonymous comment, it’s very easy to be honest, rude, sarcastic, etc.
If you stand behind your words, be proud. If you don’t, be quiet.
Will this valuable program be available on line?

You all seem so upset that all the schools are trying to do somthing good.
what is wrong with you, on one hand you all say the yeshivas are no good… but now when they do some thing good important real… all you can do is critize, you should be ashamed of your self
we all know that in this day and age, it is imposoble for everyone to be happy
but push comes to shov there is a message they want to get out FOR YOUR BENIFIT relax smile take it easy, its ok you will work out a baby sitter you will enjoy the night out, and guess what you might learn things that you need to learn in this galus.

to JUST WONDERING:
i am a parent of five (Boruch Hashem). If i lived in Crown Heights, i would be RUNNING to such an event. I would PAY a babysitter. People like you only want to put THEIR responsibilty on others. And, who said saftey only means on the streets? what about in your own home? on the internet? at the malls?
are you intune with your children?
with yourself?!

Why can’t we just be there to listen to all the children they need to air out too and there is no reason for the parent not to listen to our children we were children at one point and we wanted to be heard also.
fed up already
principals who don’t know to reach their students and are not respected..these are the people that are telling me it is mandatory i come, wake up and smell the coffee it is time for you guys to get in touch with the children, make a connection with these kids so that they don’t feel the urge to go elsewhere like the internet
