Leading Rabbis Come Out in Support of Vaad

Rabbi Yoel Kahn, chief Chozer of the Rebbe, and Rabbi Yitzchok Yehudah Yeruslavsky, Mazkir of Beis din rabbonei Chabad, have come out publically urging the continued support of the Vaad Hatmimim, among whose many initiatives is providing room and warm meals to the many guests who come in for Tishrei, and which is currently running a matching campaign.

“The hanhalos in Eretz Yisrael all say that the bochurim who travel to the Rebbe for Tishrei are completely different when they return: in their studies; in their behaviour; and in their hiskashrus to the Rebbe.”

These were the words of Rabbi Yoel Kahn, Cheif mashpia of Tomchei Tmimim and Chief Chozer of the Rebbe earlier today, as he encourages support for the organization caring for the Bochurim during their visit to the Rebbe – the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim.

“Their hiskashrus is much stronger, and this can be actually seen in their behavior.”

This is the future of Lubavitch. Therefore every person who wishes to support this endeavor—every person who finds this important—will surely donate however much he can, and maybe even try to go a bit beyond what he can. For we know that this is the future of Lubavitch, and this is the Rebbe’s ratzon.

Meanwhile, from Eretz Yisroel, Rabbi Yitzchok Yehudah Yeruslavsky, Mazkir of Beis din rabbonei Chabad, and who’s father was entrusted by the Rebbe with the Tishrei Hachnosas Orchim, had a similar message.

“I am hereby turning to you today. It’s known that my father gave the Rebbe much nachas ruach in his work running the hachnasas orchim for all the people who came to the Rebbe for the month of Tishrei, in which he toiled with mesiras nefesh, he said”

“Boruch Hashem, the esteemed philanthropists and askanim Reb Avraham Lokshin and Reb Shneur Minsky have taken this project upon themselves, and Boruch Hashem they are working with mesiras nefesh.

“I am hereby asking all my friends and acquaintances to donate generously, and may you all be blessed with a gemar chasima tova, a good and sweet new year in everything you need.”

The Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim, which hosts thousands of Bochurim during TIshrei and cares for their physical and spiritual needs is running campaign to raise needed funds to continue it’s vital work.
