Monday: Alternate Side Parking Back in Effect
The New York City Department of Transportation has announced that alternate side parking rules are back in effect today, Monday, February 24.
Alternate side parking rules have been suspended citywide for almost two weeks, but will go back into effect today.
Crown Heights residents will have to dig their cars out of the snow, lest they get a ticket when the street cleaners come around. Additionally, the NYPD has been seen giving tickets to cars not parked properly.
Motorists must also clear remaining snow from their vehicles before beginning to drive, as police officers have been ticketing those with snow remaining on the vehicle.
Payment at parking meters will also be in effect throughout the city.
